This section of the Fish Foundation website  provides the details of the   independently published scientific papers which underpin the information provided in other parts of the website. The policy of the Fish Foundation is only to report information that is derived from published, or about to be published, scientific studies.

    The references are organised by

First author surname; second or subsequent authors;  year of publication; title of paper; abstract (by author where possible); journal reference. The references are linked to those places in the text which relate to the information provided by the reference, but they may be viewed individually by visiting the reference pages. This can be done by clicking on the appropriate areas to the left of or below   this text.
